Scholarship Time 2025

The Pastel Painters Society of Cape Cod (PPSCC) invites aspiring artists who are graduating high school in 2025 or have graduated Cape Cod or Island high schools in the past three years the opportunity to participate in the 2025 Scholarship Awards Program. The PPSCC grant will include a scholarship of a $500 gift certificate to purchase art supplies and a set of artist grade pastels. Recipients will also be invited to participate in an awards event and pop-up exhibit in partnership with the Cape & Island Art Educators Association at the Cape Cod Museum of Art in May.

Applicants who plan or will continue to study a visual arts related field at the postsecondary level are invited to apply for this award. Interested student artists are asked to return the following for consideration by the Scholarship Committee:

  • Completed application form

  • Recommendation of teacher, counselor, or school administrator

  • 5 examples of artwork saved as JPG labeled with applicant’s last name and title

  • One page applicant statement to include art background and experience and future aspirations to pursue visual arts

  • Submit completed application materials electronically by May 1, 2025.

Pastel Painters Society of Cape Cod Scholarship Recipients 2024

Another joyful year of honoring aspiring visual artists with scholarships sponsored by the Pastel Painters Society of Cape Cod!

Four talented aspiring artists were honored in the 2024 Scholarship Awards Program at an awards presentation and pop-up exhibit co-sponsored by the Pastel Painters Society of Cape Cod, the Cape and Islands Art Educators Association, and the Printmakers of Cape Cod at the Cape Cod Museum of Art held on May 23.

All recipients of this award plan to study a visual arts related field at the postsecondary level. Applicants submitted examples of artwork, a statement of art background, experience, and future aspirations to pursue visual arts, and a recommendation from their schools.

Pastel Painters Society of Cape Cod Scholarship Awards 2023

The Pastel Painters Society of Cape Cod (PPSCC) is pleased to announce that four talented aspiring artists have been honored in the 2023 Scholarship Awards Program. Recipients were honored at an awards presentation and pop-up exhibit co-sponsored by the Pastel Painters Society of Cape Cod, the Cape and Islands Art Educators Association (CAIAEA), and the Printmakers of Cape Cod at the Cape Cod Museum of Art held on May 18 with artist Lynn Stanley, former education curator at the Provincetown Art Association and Museum, delivering an inspirational talk. All recipients of this award plan to study a visual arts related field at the postsecondary level. Applicants submitted examples of artwork, a statement of art background, experience, and future aspirations to pursue visual arts, and a recommendation from their schools.

The Pastel Painters Society of Cape Cod is a non-profit corporation founded in 1995 to create a community of pastel artists, set standards of excellence through education, and encourage and nurture artists in their professional growth. PPSCC has since grown to more than 250 members in 30 states and U.S. territories. The mission of the organization continues today. Through its scholarship program for young aspiring artists, PPSCC encourages a new generation of artists in pursuing artistic endeavors. 2022 PPSCC Scholarship Awards & Pop-Up Exhibit

The Pastel Painters Society of Cape Cod (PPSCC) is pleased to announce that two talented aspiring artists have been honored in the 2022 Scholarship Awards Program. Katie Landry of Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School and Mariel Jelleme, an alumna of Nantucket High School currently studying at Springfield College, will each receive a scholarship for the purchase of art supplies along with a set of artist grade pastels. An awards presentation and pop-up exhibit co-sponsored by the Pastel Painters Society of Cape Cod and the Cape and Islands Art Educators Association (CAIAEA) at the Cape Cod Museum of Art was held on May 19 with sculptor and potter Steven Kemp delivering an inspirational talk.

Great live awards presentation/popup exhibit for scholarship honorees of the Pastel Painters Society of Cape Cod and the Cape and Islands Art Educators Association at the Cape Cod Museum of Art with an inspirational talk by award winning photographer Julia Cumes. Eastwind Gallery Supports Parkinson"s Network of Cape Cod

Eastwind Gallery artists supported a cause which affects more than a million Americans and many living right here on Cape Cod. To that end a portion of the proceeds from sales from August 25-Saptember 1, as well as member and patron donations, have been donated to the Parkinson’s Network of Cape Cod, an affiliate of the American Parkinson Disease Association which specifically benefits local residents who are living with Parkinson’s.
